Recently I was traveling through Watertown South Dakota and my F150 started having heater/cab issues. I popped in to the local dealer to see if someone could take a quick look under the hood and give me some advice. I’m sure the dealership is great if you have a scheduled appointment. Don’t bother stopping if you don’t have a appointment. The shop is micro- managed and no one can or was willing to think for themselves. It was obvious people punch the time clock and do no more than they absolutely have to in order to draw a paycheck. Customer service sucks here. It a shame too, since they have donuts, popcorn and soda available along with plenty of comfortable seating. I probably could have camped out in the lounge all day and no one would have known.
My husband and I moved to South Dakota a little over a year ago. In search for a place to service our vehicles we came to Watertown Ford. From the first phone call to every visit there after we have received phenomenal customer service from all the staff. They are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I greatly appreciate Tom from service and Brad from the Body shop behind the dealership along with all the lovely employees that make this service station the trusted place for our vehicles.
I am very impressed with the service Watertown Ford provided this past weekend. From the 'new guy' who listened to my car problem to the professionals who fixed the problem...I felt listened to and they had my car ready in the time line I needed. This was a big deal to me. I had an oil light message and I had to be in Omaha the next day. It didn't cost an arm, leg or my first born. I would sing their praises but you wouldn't want to 🙉 hear that. Took my Jeep in for a recall, made appointment on October 9. Today is the 16th showed up for appointment. Didn't have the part, had a week to order it. Was not happy, now another trip into town.
Watertown Ford Chrysler is a great place to get your next vehicle. They treat you like family and will take care of you. This is the second new vehicle we have purchased there and would buy there again without hesitation. Their service department was great as well when the starter on my pickup went out a couple years ago.

Not super impressed with the lack of communication at Ford. During the Spring we were interested in car A. We weren’t able to look at it one evening but could come the next day. 2-3 hours before coming it was sold okay that’s fine. For about 5 weeks messaged a salesman about car B. We had test drove it entire family loved it!! Asked about a sensor that needed to be fixed, brakes and tires. They took it to Sharps to be fixed… didn’t hear back went on vacation (told the salesperson) when we got back we really wanted this car. Yup, while we were gone someone else sold it. For 5 weeks invested time in trying to communicate to someone who’s a nice person, but was beyond disappointed to have yet another vehicle sold. Honestly, not sure I would ever want to go back because the trust isn’t there.
